WHO WE ARE

Barnert Temple’s Renaissance group is comprised of congregants ages 60 and over who are looking to sustain their ongoing connection with the Temple through enriching and relevant Jewish learning, service, cultural and entertainment activities that foster and deepen relationships to each other and the Barnert community

WHAT WE DO

The Renaissance Group participates in all facets of Temple life. We also sponsor activities such as

• Visits to the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia
• Pre and Post Restoration tours of the Eldridge Street Synagogue and Jewish Heritage on the Lower Eastside,
• Performances of the National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene and Broadway theater (“Hamilton” and “Come From Away”),
• Walks on the High Line, Hackensack Riverkeeper ecological cruises, and
• Visits to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Hyde Park for gourmet lunches.

Dues are $25 per year for an individual membership.
