For 50 years, the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism ("the RAC") has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in Washington, D.C. As the DC office of the Union for Reform Judaism, the RAC educates and mobilizes the Reform Jewish community on legislative and social concerns, advocating on more than 70 different issues, including economic justice, civil rights, religious liberty, Israel and more.

The public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, IRAC was founded in 1987 with the goals of advancing pluralism in Israeli society and defending the freedoms of conscience, faith, and religion. Today IRAC is the preeminent civil and human rights organization in Israel focusing on the issues of religion and state and is the leading Jewish organization that advocates on behalf of a broadly inclusive Israeli democracy, infusing social justice advocacy with the spiritual energy and humane worldview of Progressive Judaism.

ARZA strengthens and enriches the Jewish identity of Reform Jews in the United States by ensuring that a connection with Eretz Yisrael is a fundamental part of that identity. 

ARZA develops support for and strengthens the Reform movement in Israel and promotes advocacy for a Jewish, pluralistic, just and democratic society in the State of Israel. 

ARZA links the people and institutions of the Reform Movements in Israel and the United States, informed by a love of Israel and a belief in K'lal Yisrael – Jewish peoplehood.

ARZA works in partnership with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (IMPJ), and their affiliates. ARZA represents United States Reform Jews in national and international Zionist organizations.

Affiliated with the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (IMPJ), YOZMA is more than just a place to pray: it is a spiritual, educational and cultural community.

The RAC's e-newsletter system will deliver Chai IMPACT Action Alerts, the RAC's Weekly Legislative Update, RAC press statements, program announcements, web updates, and other timely information to anyone with an e-mail address. Our "Chai Impact" Updates are a terrific way to stay informed about the work of Jewish social justice and of the Religious Action Center. We have a few lists that will suit your specific interests and needs, as well you may receive messages based on your activism (e.g. if you take action on an LGBT issue, we will notify you of other opportunities for similar advocacy).
