Little Sprouts (15 months - 2 years)

Our youngest preschoolers are the Little Sprouts. It is their first introduction to school and exploring the world in a classroom setting. They find new and exciting things to wonder about every day; the leaves change colors, they taste new foods and identify new personal preferences, they climb higher and run faster on the playground as they stretch muscles, gradually developing their own skills and personalities. With 1 teacher per 3 students, children have a balanced experience of independence within a safe enviroment with teachers who love and nuture their confidence-building, sense of humor, and expression of joy about exploration and discovery.

Rising Stars (2 - 3 years)

Our Rising Stars develop social skills and independence in their safe, nurturing environment. Their teachers are experienced and supportive of both your and your child's needs as this may be a first time separation. Our classrooms are filled with sensory-based toys and equipment, activities to explore and discover, leading our young students through foundational experiences for their future math and lanugage developement. Self-help skills like dressing and cleaning up embed a sense of purpose and responsibility. We strive for each child to develop their own "tool box" helping them self-regulate and manage their social and emotional relationship.

Big Shots (3 - 4 years)

The Big Shots are full of wonder. They spend much time and energy observing and listening to everything that goes on around them. Through their observation skills, they practice processing ideas and concepts, leading to advances in vocabulary, expression of thoughts and feelings, and communication skills. We provide many opportunites for children to exercise their new verbal skills and share their feelings through stories, graphs, dramatics and song. We make books and learn about authors, explore science by examining the world around us, and begin to teach the concept of Tikkun Olam by participating in social action projects, respecting the earth and recycling.

Fantastics (4 - 5 years)

Our Pre-K children are ready for greater challenges and, as the name suggests – they are simply fantastic! Anxious to be independent and successful in everything, the Fantastics are larger than life as they learn to navigate complex social interactions, and explore the world around them through a unique curriculum. We use a highly interactive, multi-sensory approach to science, social studies, literacy and math – all while encouraging cognitive risk taking. We empower the children to learn at different rates in groups and individually. Children are encouraged to become independent and empowered, active learners, which feeds their self-seteem, self-worth, and self-respect. We utilize the outdoors for deeper, comprehensive, learning and venture into the surrounding forest every Friday.  Graphing and recording nature's cycles, weaving on our large outdoor loom, experimenting with moving water in the stream, and feeling comfortable among nature, extend the learning in a vast range of developmental categories. We make full use of our extraordinary facilities and beautiful grounds.
