What Are Shalach Manot?
It is a Purim custom to send small gifts and warm wishes -- shalach manot -- to friends and family.
Rabbis teach us that we should not only give gifts to friends, but to someone who is new in the community, in need, or simply someone whose spirits would be uplifted. The Women of Barnert makes it easy for you to do just this!
How do I Order Shalach Manot?
It's easy as 1-2-3!
1. Download the Purim Order Form and choose your
2. Write your check.
3. The Women of Barnert does the
Kindly make your tax deductible check payable to Barnert Temple Sisterhood and send it to the Temple by February 15.
Extra boxes for non-members may be purchased for $10 at time of Purim Box pick-up.
How Do I Get My Purim Boxes?
Every family will receive one Purim Box. You can pick it up at the Purim Shpiels on March 11 and March 12 or in the Atrium the week after.
How Will Families Know I Purchased a Greeting for Them?
Each family will be mailed a personalized list with the names of every individual/family that purchased a Purim greeting for them.
Who Benefits from the Purim Box Sale?
This program is brought to you by Women of Barnert. 100% of the net proceeds from this fundraiser support the Women of Barnert in their mission of Tikkun Olam here, at Barnert, in our community-at-large, and around the world.
When are My Orders Due?
All orders must be received by February 15.
