BARNERT TEMPLE PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH AVI MELAMED

Barnert Temple’s Israel Action Committee presents an evening with noted Middle Eastern analyst and lecturer Avi Melamed on Sunday, November 8, at 7:30 pm. The subject of Melamed’s presentation is “Hamas. Hezbollah. Gaza. Iran. Syria. What are Israel’s real options?”

“Israel faces many difficult choices, and the stakes have never been higher,” said Jeff Himeles, Israel Action committee chair. “We’re looking forward to having Mr. Melamed provide insight into Israel’s complex geopolitical environment.”

Mr. Melamed is a highly sought-after lecturer and expert in Israeli intelligence, counterterrorism, and Arab and Middle East affairs. In his speaking tour of the US, he unfolds the fabric of the Middle East and the fascinating dance of characters, events, images and reality.

Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer period and an opportunity to meet Mr. Melamed. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free of charge.
